Verification of electronic certificate requests

ANF AC, to provide its certification services, has the support of its Registration Authorities. However, the Spanish Electronic Signature Law, establishes that the ultimate responsible for issuing electronic certificates is the Certification Authority exclusively.

 

The Issuance Reports Manager are attached to the staff Legal Department of ANF AC. Their work is to determine the adequacy or inadequacy of the documents obtained during the application process of the certificate , check the reliability of the information provided by the applicant and order, if considered, additional research.

Responsibility of the IRM
  • Verify that the certificate application contains accurate and complete information of the subscriber/subject.
  • Determine that the application meets the requirements in the relevant policy, depending on the type of certificate required.
  • Verify that all documents have been signed, and that all formalities required in the Certification Practice Statement and corresponding Certification Policy have been attended.
  • Verify that the information contained in the certificate is accurate, and that no typographical errors have been committed.
  • Verify that all the required information has been included, and if unrequired information has been included, the subscriber has authorized it to be included in the certificate.
  • Apply the appropriate cryptographic verification process on the certificate request, for checking the integrity of the date contained in such certificate, and that the signee is in possession of the signature creation data.
