In accordance with the requirements established in the DPO-AEPD Scheme,
to obtain certification as a DPO, candidates must present the following documentation:
Do you need more information?All documentation provided by the candidate at the time of the
registration will be evaluated by the Certification Body.
To reach the assessment phase, candidates must meet one of the following pre-requisites:
Demonstrate professional experience of at least five years on projects and/or activities and tasks related to DPO functions regarding data protection.
Demonstrate professional experience of at least three years on projects and/or activities and tasks related to DPO functions regarding data protection, and at least 60 hours of recognized training on subjects related to the programme.
Demonstrate professional experience of at least two years on projects and/or activities and tasks related to DPO functions regarding data protection, and at least 100 hours of recognized training on subjects related to the programme.
Demonstrate at least 180 hours of recognized training on subjects related to the programme.
The training certificate will be issued by the Training Entity whose programme has been recognized by ANF AC, accredited as a Certification Body in order to offer the certification for the “Data Protection Officer” category. The certificate will be issued once the training provided has been completed and passed.
The training certificate will follow the DPO-AEPD Scheme requirements, such as; name of the recognized programme, general information about the training entity , date of completion, duration, criteria , and general information about the candidate.
The candidate must provide his/her Curriculum, which details the professional experience and training received that may have or is related to Data Protection or that he considers may be of professional interest.
The cost of the certification is 250€ + VAT to be paid at the time of registration.The registration fee entitles the candidate to submit to a second exam in case of not pass the first test. There are 3 payment methods.
If the Certification Authority considers that the pre-requisites have not been accredited, and the applicant has not provided the required information in due time, it cannot be admitted to the examination session. In this case the amount paid will be refunded less administrative costs , related to the evaluation and reservation of place for the exam, whose total amount is 150€. In case of being admitted for examination, the candidate must not make any other disbursement.
