Legal Representative of Legal Person
Documentation related to the entity:

Commercial companies and other legal entities whose registration in the Commercial Registry is mandatory:

  • Public deed of incorporation. Authentic copy of registration in the Commercial Registry.
  • NIF card.

For Associations, Foundations and Cooperatives that are not registered in the Commercial Registry:

  • Resolution of registration in the competent public registry.
  • Tax identification number.
For Civil societies and other legal persons:

  • Public or private deed of incorporation. If it is a private one, it must contain the seal of a public body (for example, from an Autonomous Community, Tax Agency, etc.).
  • Tax identification number.

Documentation related to the legal representative:

  • If the NIE is justified by the General Police Directorate, national identity document in the case of EU citizens, or passport must be attached, for both EU nationals and non-EU nationals.
For administrators of mercantile companies:

  • Authentic copy of the deed of appointment, in which inscription in the Mercantile Registry is recorded.
  • For a representative of Associations, Foundations and Cooperatives that are not registered in the Mercantile Registry:
  • Public or private document of appointment in which the term of office appears and resolution of registration of the appointment in the competent public registry.
For representatives of civil societies and other legal persons:

  • Public or private document of appointment stating the duration of the position.
Legal Representative of sole and joint administrators
Documentation related to the entity:

  • This type of certificate is only provided for public limited companies and limited companies that must present the following documentation:
  • Public deed of incorporation. Authentic copy of registration in the Commercial Registry.
  • NIF card.
Documentation related to the legal representative:

  • Valid National ID Document (DNI). Foreign National ID Number (NIE) or residence card. If the NIE is justified by the General Police Directorate, national identity document in the case of EU citizens, or passport must be attached, for both EU nationals and non-EU nationals.
  • For administrators of mercantile companies:Authentic copy of the deed of appointment, in which inscription in the Mercantile Registry is recorded.
Legal Representative of an Entity without Legal Personality
Documentation related to the entity:

Entities that must register in a public or special registry will present, in addition to the application, the certificate or simple note accrediting their registration, it must be issued on the application date or during the previous fifteen days. Besides the following documents will be provided:

  • investment funds, venture capital funds, mortgage market funds, mortgage securitization funds, asset securitization funds, investment guarantee funds and pension funds: certificate of registration in the corresponding registry of the Ministry that holds these competencies or the National Securities Market Commission in which the identification of the fund's managing entity is recorded.
  • For communities holding neighborhood forests in common hand: certificate of the statutes registration in the registry of the Ministry that holds these competencies or, where appropriate, of the corresponding registry of the Autonomous Community.
  • For temporary unions of companies under special tax regime: certificate of registration in the temporary unions of companies register. Providing this documentation will not be necessary when the StateTax Administration Agency intervenes as an identification and registration authority in the issuance of the electronic certificate.

Entities that should not be registered in any public or special registry will present, in addition to the application, the public deeds, contracts, statutes, pacts or any other document that prove it was legally establish. Validity and identification of the members that comprise them will be also proved.

Documentation related to the legal representative:

The legal representation of the entity will be accredited through documents issued by a notary which prove the representation power of the certificate applicant, or by special power granted for this purpose.

The representation of the entity may also be justified through private documents of the appointed representative in each case. Representation may be accredited by the following documents:

  • Designation document of the lying inheritance representative, signed by all heirs in which the name, surname and ID or passport number of the representative is declare in case she/he has not been appointed judicial administrator or executor through plenty administrative powers.
  • Copy of the minutes of the Board of Owners meetings in which the community president was appointed, in case of communities in a horizontal property regime.
  • Document signed by a sufficient number of members in accordance with the provisions of article 398 of the Civil Code to represent the majority of the interests of the entity, in the case of communities of assets and civil societies without legal personality, in which representative designated by them request the certificate.
For administrators of mercantile companies:

  • Authentic copy of the deed of appointment, in which the inscription in the Mercantile Registry is recorded.

To request an electronic certificate you should go to your closest Identity Verification Office. ANF AC counts on Identity Verification Offices distributed throughout the national territory. To find the nearest office to you click here.

At the Identity Verification Office you must provide the documentation and an Operator will guide you in the process of requesting the certificate. You can only request certificates for yourself, it is not possible to request certificates for third parties due to the need of face-to-face verification.

Once the procedure has been completed at the Identity Verification Office, you will get your token along the request, which you must activate following the instructions provided by the operator who made the request. After 24 hours, you can download and start using your certificate.

The certificates issued will be valid for 2 years and can be renewed for 2 more years.
